The Crooked Road - Summer Breeze

Hand dyed and hand carded locally produced Romney and Border Leicester wool in a lovely batt for spinning or felting.  From my Crooked Road line of products that are named for traditional and bluegrass songs. The wool for this batt came from two local farms: the Romney was raised at Thistle Cove Farm in Tazewell, Virginia and the Border Leicester is from a farmer in Central Academy in Patrick County.  I dyed the sparkling white Romney with acid dyes in shades of green and yellow, then blended in natural colored Border Leicester on my drum carder  to create an excellent preparation for beginners and advanced spinners alike.  The batts are predominately green with streaks of brown and yellow; see additional picture for spun samples.  85% Romney wool and 15% Border Leicester, net weight 4 ounces.  Three 4 ounce batts available.

NOTE: This is a hand made item. Variations in color concentration occur from batt to batt.
